YHDev Studio builds e-commerce websites for businesses, but not everyone is selling something. Some organisations exist purely to give. This is our way of giving back.

Why We’re Doing This

We know what it costs to get online. And we know not everyone can afford it.

We keep web development honest: a fair price, a clear scope, and a site built properly. No hidden fees. No endless discovery calls.

We’ve spent years helping businesses set up their stores: retail, F&B, service, and more. We know exactly what a good website costs, how long it takes, and what it takes to get one done properly.

And we’ve also seen the other side. Community groups running operations from a Facebook page. Charities with no digital presence at all. NGOs whose work is real and meaningful but whose online footprint is invisible.

A website doesn’t fix a cause. But it gives it a home. A place to be found, to be trusted, and to grow.

So we keep a little room each quarter for builds like these. Not as a marketing exercise. Not to collect leads. Just to build for organisations that are genuinely serving their communities and genuinely need the help.

That’s what this is.

YHDev Studio is an e-commerce web development studio. We specialise exclusively in online stores: WooCommerce builds for retail, F&B, and service businesses, built on WordPress with transparent fixed pricing and no discovery calls.

Our work covers everything from lightweight product catalogs to full-featured storefronts with payment gateways, inventory management, shipping logic, booking systems, and custom integrations.

The one exception

The Give programme is the single exception to our commercial focus. It’s the same care, the same quality, just without the invoice.

Every site under this programme gets the same attention as a paying client. Not a template thrown online in an afternoon.

Up to 6 pages (Home, About, What We Do, Our Team, Contact, and one of your choice), with WordPress CMS access so you can edit content yourself.

Custom design

Not a generic theme. Designed to reflect your organisation’s identity.

Mobile responsive

Works properly on phones, tablets, and desktops.

Contact form

So people can reach you.

Basic on-page SEO

Meta titles, descriptions, and Open Graph tags configured correctly.

2 free revision rounds

You review the build and give feedback twice, at no charge.

Full source code

The finished site is yours. We hand over the full source code on completion.

Handover with guidance

We’ll walk you through what we’ve built and what you’ll need to maintain it.

Not included: hosting and domain

You arrange those yourself, or we can help you set them up as a separate arrangement.

Who Can Apply

This programme is for organisations that serve, not sell.

The work we look for puts bread on the table, not products on a shelf. A basket to share with a community, not a store to run. A few simple rules keep it that way, for us and for the organisations that genuinely need it.

You qualify if you are

  • A registered non-profit, NGO, foundation, or charity.
  • A community organisation or religious body serving the public good.
  • A volunteer-run group with a clear, non-commercial mission.
  • Able to provide proof of your non-profit status when requested.

You do not qualify if

  • Your organisation sells products or services online. No e-commerce, no shopping carts, full stop. This is a firm boundary. YHDev Studio builds e-commerce for paying clients; we will not build it for free.
  • You intend to place ads, affiliate links, or any revenue-generating feature on the site.
  • You already have a website and are looking for fixes, redesigns, or improvements. This programme is for new builds from scratch only.

The Rules

Read these before you apply.

No e-commerce or monetisation.

No shopping carts, product listings, or payment collection. No ads, affiliate links, or sponsored sections. The site must exist solely to serve your organisation’s mission.

Hosting and domain are not included.

You arrange and pay for your own hosting and domain. Not sure how? We can point you in the right direction, or help you set them up as a separate arrangement.

Two revision rounds, then it’s yours to run.

After delivery you get two rounds of consolidated feedback at no charge. Beyond that, changes are quoted as paid work. Ongoing updates are yours to manage through your WordPress access, or you can hire us to maintain it.

You provide the content, or we help produce it.

Text, images, and your logo are yours to supply. If you need help writing copy or sourcing imagery, let us know in your application. Delays in content delivery delay the build.

Proof of non-profit status is required.

You will be asked for documentation confirming your non-profit status: a registration number, certificate of incorporation, or equivalent proof recognised in your country. Inability to provide this will disqualify your application.

One small footer credit stays in place.

Every site built under this programme carries a “Website proudly built by YHDev Studio” credit in the footer, linking to yhdev.site. That credit remains on the live site permanently.

New builds only. No rework of existing sites.

We do not fix, redesign, migrate, or patch existing websites under this programme. If you already have a site and need it improved, that falls outside our scope here.

We reserve the right to decline any application.

We review every application individually and may decline for reasons including capacity, fit, or scope. We are not obligated to provide a reason for any decision.

The Process

Five steps. No surprises.

Apply

Fill in the application form below. It takes about 5 minutes. We ask about your organisation, your mission, and what you need from a website.

We Review

We go through every application carefully. Only shortlisted organisations will be contacted. We may ask a few follow-up questions before making a final decision.

Content Prep

Once accepted, you’ll receive a content checklist: logo, copy, images, and anything else we need to build each page. You can provide these yourself, or ask us to help produce them. This step sets how fast we can move.

We Build

Design and development typically takes 2 to 3 weeks from the point we receive your complete content. We’ll share a staging link so you can follow along.

Review and Launch

You get two revision rounds. Once you’re satisfied, we go live.

Questions

Things people usually ask.

Yes. There is no charge for the design and development work. The only costs you are responsible for are your hosting and domain, which fall outside this programme.

No. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. If the quarter is full when you apply, you are welcome to reapply in the next quarter.

No. Submitting an application is an expression of interest, not a confirmed booking. Every application is reviewed individually. We assess fit, feasibility, scope, and our current capacity before making any commitment. If your application is shortlisted, we will reach out to discuss next steps.

No. This programme is for new websites built from scratch only. We do not redesign, fix, migrate, or patch existing sites under this programme. If your current site needs work, that falls outside our scope here.

You arrange your own hosting and domain. If you are not sure how, we can point you in the right direction, or set them up for you as a separate arrangement. Domain registration is always kept in your name.

No. This programme is strictly for non-commercial, non-profit use. No shopping carts, no product listings, no payment collection of any kind. If your organisation needs e-commerce functionality, that falls under our standard commercial services at yhdev.site.

A link to an external donation platform, such as a GoFundMe page or a bank transfer reference, is acceptable. We will not build an integrated payment system or donation gateway into the site.

Two rounds are included at no charge. If you need more, we will provide a quote. This is standard practice. Even under our commercial packages, revisions beyond the included rounds are billed separately.

Two to three weeks from the date we receive your complete content. If content is delayed on your end, the timeline pauses accordingly.

The two revision rounds cover changes shortly after initial delivery. Long-term maintenance and future updates are not included under this programme. You can manage updates yourself through your WordPress access, or hire us to maintain it as a separate arrangement.

We only contact shortlisted applicants. If you have not heard from us, your application was not selected this quarter. You are welcome to reapply in a future quarter.

Yes. Once your site is live and your two revision rounds are complete, we hand over the full source code. The site belongs to you and you are free to modify it however you like. The only condition is that the footer credit linking to YHDev Studio stays in place on the live site.

We have spent years building e-commerce sites and we understand what a proper website costs, in time, money, and expertise. Not every organisation that needs one can afford it. This programme is our way of putting our skills toward something that is not about revenue. It is a small thing we can do consistently, so we do it.
